About the role#
As a Software Developer Co-op, you will join a hybrid team focused on building and maintaining a microservice platform. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the technical roadmap and influence the direction of our products. This role provides hands-on experience in a modern development environment where you will work on real-world problems.
What you'll do#
- Write and test-drive code for new features and bugfixes.
- Participate in code reviews to share knowledge and improve code quality.
- Learn from your teammates and help them learn through pairing and mob programming sessions.
- Build and deploy software through an automated CI/CD pipeline.
- Provision and maintain cloud infrastructure for your team’s products.
- Design and develop automated test suites, refine acceptance criteria, and establish test plans.
- Monitor the health of products through application, system, and business metrics.
- Contribute to technical documentation and the team's architectural processes.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a co-op program.
- Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
- Strong communication skills to solve problems and clarify requirements with technical and business teams.
- A collaborative approach and a willingness to contribute to team decision-making.
- An eagerness to learn from experience and from those around you.
Location & details#
- This position is based in Vancouver, British Columbia.
- We operate as a hybrid organization, with time split between our Yaletown office and your personal residence.
- This is a full-time, paid co-op role.
