About the role#
Corteva Agriscience is looking for an intern to join our Research and Development team in Indianapolis. You will work alongside scientists and technical experts in an industrial setting. This role focuses on chemical synthesis and research projects.
What you'll do#
- Participate in a novel molecule design, synthesis, or scale up project.
- Assist with all phases of research, from planning and preparation to calibration, application, evaluation, and analysis.
- Interpret experimental data to draw scientific conclusions.
- Demonstrate independent and creative thinking in your daily work.
- Present project reviews throughout the summer and prepare a final poster for colleagues.
- Work in a safe manner at all times.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate degree in Chemistry.
- Completion of one full year of undergraduate-level organic chemistry curriculum, including laboratory courses.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks.
- Experience with techniques such as NMR, IR, GC/MS, LC/MS, TLC, liquid/liquid extractions, crystallization, distillation, or column chromatography is helpful but not required.
