About the role#
Cox Engineering is hiring an intern for the Fall 2026 term. You will work directly with the Estimating Department Manager in our Randolph, Massachusetts office. This is a full-time, on-site role where you will gain hands-on experience with HVAC systems and the estimation process.
What you'll do#
- Assist the Estimating Department Manager in producing bids and estimates.
- Learn and use take-off software to support the team with bid preparation.
- Collaborate with team members to keep bidding processes accurate and efficient.
- Gather and organize project plans and specifications.
- Manage your tasks to ensure project deadlines are met.
- Contribute ideas for process improvements.
What you'll need#
- A team mindset and the ability to work well with others.
- Strong self-motivation and a willingness to learn.
- Good communication skills.
- Close attention to detail.
- Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration is a plus.
- Experience reading plans and specifications is helpful but not required.
