About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your didactic pharmacy education into real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to gain experience in store, district, and regional operations. This role focuses on developing your professional skills to prepare for a future Pharmacist position while supporting our pharmacy teams.
What you'll do#
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap, including key learning experiences and activities.
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled safely and accurately.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and providing caring service.
- Field medical questions and solicit patient medical history under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Educate patients about the importance of vaccines and assist with immunizations where permitted by law.
- Follow company standard operating procedures at each workstation, including production, pick-up, and drop-off.
- Maintain inventory by putting away medication deliveries and completing cycle counts.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure as required by state regulations.
- Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.
- Strong attention and focus to concentrate on tasks and ensure prescription accuracy.
- A team-oriented mindset with a focus on providing excellent customer service.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
- Mathematical reasoning skills to accurately dispense medications.
- Physical ability to remain mobile for extended periods, lift up to 20 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.

- Location: Bloomington, Indiana.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Part-time with a rolling term.
- Compensation: $20.50 - $24.25 per hour.
