About the role#
Datadog is looking for interns to join our Product Management team. You will support the product development lifecycle by partnering with Engineering, Design, and Product Marketing. You will work on products that serve technical customers and contribute to real business outcomes. Interns are embedded directly within product teams, working on initiatives alongside full-time Product Managers. You will develop your technical communication and product thinking skills by doing the work.
What you'll do#
- Conduct customer discovery conversations and gather feedback to understand user needs.
- Drive product initiatives from concept through launch.
- Translate customer and business needs into clear product requirements and engineering priorities.
- Analyze customer feedback, product data, and market insights to inform product decisions.
- Prepare and deliver technical product demonstrations and communication materials.
- Develop a technical understanding of our observability platform and cloud infrastructure products.
What you'll need#
- You are pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- You have prior internship, project, or academic experience in product management, software engineering, or a related technical role.
- You have exposure to B2B software product development.
- You can communicate technical concepts clearly to engineers and other stakeholders.
- You have an interest in emerging technologies, including AI-powered developer tools and cloud technologies.
- You are targeting a 2028 full-time graduation or start date.
