About the role#
DESRI is looking for students to join our 10-week Summer 2027 internship program. This role supports our Finance, Acquisitions, and Strategy teams. You will work on projects involving solar, battery storage, and wind assets across the United States. You will work alongside mentors and project managers, participate in intern events, visit an operating renewable energy asset, and present your work at the end of the summer.
What you'll do#
- Build and maintain financial analyses to evaluate investment opportunities, project returns, and risks.
- Support due diligence and transaction processes for acquisitions, debt and tax equity financings, and asset sales.
- Conduct power market research and industry analysis to support project origination and business planning.
- Develop market and competitive intelligence.
- Collaborate across teams and participate in presentations.
What you'll need#
- You are a student with a strong interest in renewable energy, investing, finance, or strategy.
- You have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- You pay close attention to detail.
- You can collaborate effectively within small teams and manage multiple priorities.
- Financial modeling or other quantitative experience is helpful but not required.
- We prefer students in their final year of full-time study.
- Relevant majors include Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Environmental Engineering, and Political Science.

- This is an on-site internship based in New York, New York.
- The program runs for 10 weeks from June through August 2027.
- This is a full-time, paid position.
- We do not offer visa sponsorship for this role.
