About the role#
This is a long-term, year-round co-op position based at our Carrollton, Kentucky site. Unlike short-term internships, this role requires a commitment of at least one full calendar year while you continue your undergraduate studies. You will work alongside engineers and chemists to provide technical support for our Process Research and Development organization.
What you'll do#
- Set up, operate, and monitor laboratory experimental equipment.
- Conduct experiments and routine analyses while collecting accurate process and equipment data.
- Evaluate experimental results using basic statistical techniques.
- Perform first-line troubleshooting of analytical systems and experimental equipment.
- Support process development and scale-up activities by documenting observations and results.
- Participate in safety assessments, audits, and compliance activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve laboratory processes and equipment.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited college or university located near the Carrollton site.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical major.
- Minimum of 6 credit hours per term during Fall and Winter terms.
- A GPA of 3.000 or higher is preferred.
- Ability to work at least 16 hours each week, year-round, during regular business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.).
- Must be 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or GED.
- Ability to work legally in the United States without visa sponsorship.
- Must live within 50 miles of the Carrollton site and pass a background check.
