About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in real estate and right-of-way services. You will work on transportation and infrastructure projects, such as highways, airports, and public facilities. You will learn from experienced professionals, develop research skills, and gain exposure to industry standards and project coordination. This is a paid, full-time, on-site role with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Research land titles, tax records, and property sales information.
- Provide support for property acquisitions and relocation activities.
- Coordinate appraisals and compile background information for valuations and technical reports.
- Assist with project file setup, maintenance, and organization of correspondence.
- Perform data entry, update spreadsheets, and maintain databases.
- Prepare draft offer packages and supporting documentation.
- Attend project meetings, assist with documentation, and respond to routine communications.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing or recently completed an associate or bachelor’s degree in real estate, Business, Urban Planning, Geography, Public Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments with attention to detail.
- Capability to perform basic mathematical operations and interpret statistical graphs.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- A valid driver's license is preferred.
- Previous internships or coursework are a plus.
- Interest in pursuing professional right-of-way or real estate certifications is encouraged.
