About the role#
As a Manufacturing Scientist or Quality Control Chemist intern, you will join the Quality Control Lab team at our Clinton, Indiana manufacturing plant. This role focuses on delivering practical solutions for reducing analytical variability and implementing new laboratory methods. You will gain exposure to diverse career paths and work with subject matter experts on projects that impact the entire site.
What you'll do#
- Learn about quality control, fermentation, product recovery, product finishing, and packaging.
- Understand the manufacturing process and document your work using GMP guidelines.
- Study design improvement processes.
- Work within cross-functional teams to implement process or Quality Control lab improvements.
- Understand the function and importance of the Quality Unit.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a similar major.
- Experience with Microsoft Suites and a willingness to learn.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship located on-site in Clinton, Indiana.
- The term runs from May 17, 2027, to August 6, 2027.
- Travel of 10% is expected to our corporate facility in Indianapolis for program opening and closing events.
- This position does not offer visa sponsorship.
