About the role#
Elevation Land Solutions is hiring a Civil Engineering Intern for Summer 2027. You will join our Land Development team to gain experience on residential, commercial, and industrial projects. You will work alongside experienced professionals to support project execution from initial concept through final construction.
What you'll do#
- Assist with technical design tasks including site layout, utility design, and roadway alignment.
- Support the development of grading plans, stormwater management, drainage systems, and water or sanitary sewer infrastructure.
- Conduct floodplain and hydrology studies.
- Help produce final construction drawings and plan sets.
- Prepare project specifications and documentation for submittals.
- Provide support during the permitting and construction phases of projects.
- Collaborate with team members on multi-disciplinary assignments.
- Maintain professional relationships across departments and submit accurate timesheets.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Civil Engineering.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A sense of initiative and accountability.
- Ability to work with urgency to meet project deadlines.
- Flexibility to support additional hours when project demands arise.
- A valid driver license and willingness to travel locally for site visits or errands.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time internship.
- Work is on-site at our offices in The Woodlands, Texas, or Katy, Texas.
- We do not offer visa sponsorship for this role.
