About the role#
Bolton & Menk is hiring a Civil Engineering Intern for the Structural service group for the Summer 2027 season. This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship based in Charlotte, North Carolina. You will work on community infrastructure projects and gain hands-on experience with construction phase activities.
What you'll do#
- Assist with planning, design, and general civil engineering tasks.
- Prepare reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Perform construction observation and construction staking.
- Handle construction administration duties.
- Complete design calculations and review shop drawings.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Civil Engineering or closely related degree program at an accredited institution.
- Sophomore status or above.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8.
- Completed coursework in AutoCAD drafting and general surveying.
- A valid driver license and your own transportation or access to public transit.
- Ability to work in extended outdoor conditions and navigate rugged terrain.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
