About the role#
Halff is looking for a Civil Engineer Intern to join the Water Resources team in Orlando. You will support drainage and stormwater analysis, hydrology and hydraulic modeling, and various water resources projects. This is a full-time, paid internship.
What you'll do#
- Design civil engineering projects under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer.
- Assist with drainage and stormwater analysis and design.
- Prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates for Water Resources projects.
- Perform drafting CAD work and complete calculations for design projects.
- Assist in preparing permit applications and regulatory documents.
- Coordinate with surveyors, architects, and contractors.
- Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Civil Engineering or an ABET accredited equivalent.
- Strong organization, communication, and team building skills.
- Self-motivated work ethic.
- Experience with HEC-RAS and HEC-HMS is preferred but not required.

- Location: Orlando, Florida.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week), typically Monday through Friday.
