About the role#
This internship provides exposure to insurance operations and corporate functions at Emergent Holdings. You will work alongside staff to support business objectives while interacting with agents, policyholders, and internal teams. The program runs from May 24, 2027, through August 6, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Perform tasks across business development, underwriting, data analysis, and loss control.
- Prepare and deliver presentations on assigned topics.
- Attend unit, departmental, and corporate meetings.
- Manage multiple deadlines and establish project workflows.
- Use company software to complete assignments.
- Respond to inquiries from internal and external customers.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding company and client information.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an educational degree program.
- Sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student status, or a rising freshman aged 18+ with a vocational insurance background and college credits.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with computers and standard software, with internet research experience preferred.
- Ability to proofread documents and perform mathematical computations.
- Capacity to identify consequences of situations and inform decision-makers.

- Schedule: Full-time during normal business hours.
- Start Date: Between late-May and mid-June 2027.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
