About the role#
The Corporate Finance team manages capital raises, investment evaluations, and strategic planning. This internship offers hands-on exposure to how capital decisions are made at a growth-stage energy company. You will report to the Director of Corporate Finance and work on live deliverables, investor materials, and the lifecycle of investment approvals. This is a rolling position rather than a fixed summer term.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and maintain investor-facing materials including teasers, presentations, and data room content.
- Manage investor and lender communications by tracking outreach, follow-ups, and information requests.
- Support due diligence workflows and coordinate responses to requests from institutional investors and financial advisors.
- Assist with the coordination and review of Investment Committee submissions, such as memos and approval packages, to see how project-level capital is allocated.
- Perform financial modeling, including scenario analysis, valuation support, and recurring reporting.
- Build and refine AI-powered workflows to improve team efficiency in document generation and data extraction.
What you'll need#
- A degree or progress toward one in finance, economics, mathematics, electrical engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Baseline comfort with spreadsheets and financial logic, such as Excel-based DCF or scenario analysis.
- Clear, precise written communication skills for preparing materials sent to senior leadership and investors.
- Familiarity with AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT, or Copilot and a desire to apply them to professional workflows.
- A self-directed work style that allows you to take loosely defined tasks and deliver structured results.
