About the role#
We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op to join our team in Bloomington, Minnesota. This is a full-time, 6-month assignment starting in January 2027. You will work on-site to gain exposure to real-life production environments and systems, helping to bridge the gap between your academic training and professional practice.
What you'll do#
- Own and execute a significant manufacturing engineering project related to your field of study. You will present your results to site leadership at the end of the term.
- Analyze production data to identify inefficiencies and support process improvements.
- Assist with the design, development, and validation of tooling, fixtures, equipment, and standardized work instructions.
- Provide daily engineering support, including troubleshooting production issues and implementing corrective actions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Mechanical or Industrial Engineering degree program.
- A basic understanding of lean manufacturing techniques.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while working under the guidance of experienced engineers.
- Comfort working in a manufacturing environment, including time spent on the production floor.
- Familiarity with your university requirements for co-op participation.
- Note that we do not provide immigration sponsorship for this role.
Location & details#
- Location: Bloomington, MN.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January through June).
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Environment: This role requires working near heavy equipment and following gowning procedures for cleanroom access.
