About the role#
As a Data Analytics Intern, you will help build and maintain the tools and processes that support our project siting decisions and customer acquisition efforts. You will work primarily with the Data Science team to enable our operations across multiple markets. This internship is a summer position that supports the strategy, development, and improvement of our internal analytical infrastructure.
What you'll do#
- Assist with data pipelines, transformations, and data preparation for integration with our backend tools.
- Develop Python and SQL scripts for data analysis and workflow automation.
- Query SQL databases and use GIS tools to support business analytics and reporting.
- Document analytical workflows, research, and data definitions.
- Create niche data products to support internal team objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Communicate insights from your analyses to internal stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program for Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, GIS, or Business Analytics.
- Junior or Senior standing is preferred.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, or similar programming languages.
- Familiarity with GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or CARTO.
- Experience with Excel and cloud infrastructure platforms like Snowflake or Databricks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2026.
- Work will be performed on-site in either San Francisco, California, or Salt Lake City, Utah.
- We do not provide visa sponsorship for this role.
