    About the role#

    As an Embedded Software Engineering Co-Op, you will assist with software design to ensure bootloaders and operating systems run efficiently on our products. You will work within a small team of developers and architects to develop, release, and debug code for hardware that uses recent processing and I/O technologies. This is a full-time position based at our facility in Verona, Wisconsin.

    What you'll do#

    • Develop and document SDKs, APIs, and other software artifacts.
    • Debug issues and fix bugs as they arise.
    • Collaborate with Manufacturing and QA teams to apply testing strategies and ensure adequate test coverage.
    • Contribute to a DevOps methodology by defining and creating CI/CD pipelines.
    • Participate in an Agile development environment.

    What you'll need#

    • Completion of at least 2 years of college in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering with Computer Science coursework, or Computer Science.
    • Progress toward a Bachelor or Master degree.
    • Knowledge of digital logic and computer science fundamentals.
    • Coursework or experience in embedded systems, data structures, operating systems, or computer architecture.
    • Strong PC troubleshooting skills and good communication abilities.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Verona, Wisconsin (On-site).
    • Terms: Spring 2027 (January to August), Summer 2027, or Fall 2027 (May to December).
    • This position is paid and requires full-time commitment, typically involving taking a semester off from school.
