About the role#
This is a year-round internship based in Columbus, Indiana. You will support the Tooling, Equipment, and Prototype purchasing department by completing specific projects and daily tasks. This role provides practical experience in purchasing operations while you continue your studies.
What you'll do#
- Process purchasing orders for the T&E and Prototype team.
- Run monthly reports and gather data from SAP.
- Perform daily tariff classifications and collect data for audits.
- Assist the Buyer with supplier relationship management and communication.
- Identify gaps between supplier targets and actual performance.
- Prepare and present spend and saving reports to management.
- Create and manage ideas for business efficiency and cost reduction.
- Provide general administrative support to the team.
- Attend and participate in team meetings.
- Share best practices and lessons learned across the organization.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student at an accredited university.
- Pursuit of a degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 2.8 GPA.
- Ability to work 20-25 hours per week on-site.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- An international mindset.
