About the role#
The Process Engineering Co-op supports our manufacturing operations in Lebanon, Ohio. You will gain hands-on experience by working directly with production personnel to improve capacity, material flow, and productivity. This role is a cooperative learning experience that alternates work semesters with your school schedule.
What you'll do#
- Assist with shop floor improvements and the implementation of manufacturing projects.
- Manage specific projects focused on 5S, process improvement, and factory flow.
- Collaborate with the manufacturing team to design and build fixtures and shop floor aids.
- Conduct time studies and assist in the management of time standards.
- Solve problems on the floor and in office processes using the PDCA cycle.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Management, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook and Excel.
- Interest in lean manufacturing, industrial engineering, or continuous improvement.
- Ability to multi-task and a desire for hands-on work in a manufacturing environment.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid position based on-site in Lebanon, Ohio.
- You will frequently work around moving vehicles and must be able to traverse the production facility.
- Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 35 lbs, climb short ladders, and work with hands in various positions.
