About the role#
The Audit Group at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York provides independent, risk-based assurance to support the mission of the Federal Reserve System. As a Sophomore Intern, you will join a ten-week program designed to provide real-world experience through project-based assignments. You will work alongside experienced professionals, receive mentorship, and attend learning events with senior leadership.
What you'll do#
- Assist with internal auditing tasks, including audit planning and controls testing.
- Attend and record minutes for audit meetings with clients.
- Collaborate with the Data Analytics team to analyze and present audit information.
- Conduct research and organize information to support special department projects.
- Participate in team events and engage with the broader department.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a college sophomore, with an expected graduation date between Winter 2028 and Spring 2029.
- A strong academic record with a demonstrated interest in finance, economics, business administration, public policy, or risk management.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Acrobat.
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.

- Term: Summer 2027.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship based on an annual salary of $65,600.
- Eligibility: This position requires access to confidential supervisory information, which is limited to U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other protected individuals as defined by law.
