About the role#
The Enterprise Data Office (EDO) at Fifth Third Bank offers a co-op position focused on either Data Engineering or Software Engineering. You will join an agile squad to work on technical projects of low to moderate complexity. Your work will involve implementing new features and using software engineering tools to deliver value to customers. Placement depends on your specific skillset and current business needs.
What you'll do#
- Participate in all agile team ceremonies.
- Act as an individual contributor on projects alongside senior staff.
- Complete assigned tasks in collaboration with experienced team members.
- Attend learning sessions within the EDO to build your industry knowledge.
- Identify, assess, and manage risks while following bank policies.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a 4-year degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Strong knowledge of SQL.
- Experience with software development or programming.
- Ability to work both independently and within a group.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.

- This is a full-time, paid position located in Cincinnati, Ohio.
- The term is for Summer 2027.
