About the role#
This internship introduces students to the property and casualty insurance industry. You will gain exposure to various career paths within our organization. We offer these internships during the Spring and Fall semesters.
What you'll do#
- Rotate through key departments to learn about our operational functions.
- Shadow professionals during their daily work and ridealong opportunities.
- Complete a team project throughout the program.
- Present your project findings to company leaders at the end of the term.
What you'll need#
- You must be a current student at the University of Hawaii. Students from the Shidler College of Business and those in the UHWO Risk Management Certification program are preferred.
- You can commit to 10 hours of work per week for a 15-week period.
- You have a strong interest in learning about the functions of the insurance industry.
- You are a self-starter who asks questions and seeks to understand how the organization operates.
- You are comfortable working independently on projects and presenting your work.

- This position is based in Hawaii and requires on-site work.
- This is a paid internship at a rate of $16.00 per hour.
