About the role#
Student Assistants provide support to faculty, staff, and administrators across the library and various campus departments. This role involves a mix of administrative, clerical, and customer service tasks to help the department run smoothly.
What you'll do#
- Answer phone calls and emails, directing inquiries to the right person.
- Greet visitors and provide general information.
- Assist with filing, organizing documents, and maintaining records.
- Prepare and proofread materials like reports, memos, or presentations.
- Help set up for departmental events, workshops, or meetings.
- Assist students, faculty, and staff with basic questions.
- Troubleshoot basic office equipment or software issues.
- Manage office supplies, inventory, and meeting schedules.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student at Florida Memorial University.
- A cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A reliable, punctual, and positive attitude.

- Location: Miami Gardens, Florida.
- Schedule: Flexible, typically 15 to 20 hours per week.
- Status: Part-time and paid.
