    About the role#

    Franklin Pierce University is hiring a Literacy Initiative Coordinator for the Fall 2026 academic term. This role involves working with local elementary schools to support literacy programs. You will work between 10 and 19 hours per week, primarily during daytime hours on weekdays, though some evening work is necessary for event planning.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist in the creation, coordination, and administration of literacy initiatives.
    • Organize and oversee student literacy assistants.
    • Coordinate after-school activities that run once a week.
    • Manage event administration for a Literacy Celebration.

    What you'll need#

    • You must be a Federal Work Study eligible student.
    • An interest in working with elementary-aged youth.
    • Successful completion of a criminal background check.
    • Access to a vehicle is preferred.
    • Students from all majors are welcome to apply, including those in English, Communications, Sociology, and Psychology.
