About the role#
FSB Architects + Engineers is offering a hands-on summer internship for electrical engineering students. You will work alongside licensed engineers and designers on active projects, including hangars, healthcare facilities, and commercial buildings. This role focuses on applying classroom knowledge to real building systems, from power and lighting to technology infrastructure.
What you'll do#
- Assist with electrical system design and documentation using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Support the design of power distribution, lighting, lighting controls, and low voltage systems.
- Perform basic electrical calculations, including load analysis, equipment selection, and system sizing.
- Help develop construction documents, electrical plans, one-line diagrams, schedules, and technical deliverables.
- Collaborate with architecture, mechanical, structural, and fire protection teams to coordinate building systems.
- Participate in project meetings and gain exposure to the design process from concept through construction.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program for electrical engineering at an ABET accredited institution.
- Ability to work on-site in Oklahoma City for the duration of the summer.
- Basic familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD, or similar design software is preferred.
- Strong skills in communication, organization, problem solving, and collaboration.
- Curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn from experienced professionals.
