About the role#
The Logistics Analyst Intern supports the North America Logistics team at GE Vernova. You will work with Logistics, Project Management, Sourcing, and Finance teams to improve data accuracy and operational efficiency. This role focuses on project logistics and supply chain operations through data analysis, reporting, and cost tracking.
What you'll do#
- Maintain shipment trackers, logistics dashboards, and KPI reports.
- Analyze freight spend, shipment volumes, and transportation modes.
- Track transportation costs against project logistics budgets.
- Identify data gaps and find ways to improve data quality.
- Document logistics processes, workflows, and standard work.
- Support the development of standardized reporting and data-management processes.
- Assist with benchmarking freight costs and analyzing historical pricing.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or Data Science.
- Ability to collect, organize, and analyze transportation and logistics data.
- Experience or familiarity with reporting tools and dashboards.
- Understanding of freight spend and transportation cost analysis.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data management and reporting.
