About the role#
This Summer 2027 internship offers hands-on experience in a manufacturing plant environment. You will work with teams to develop efficiencies in material flow and support the implementation of new processes and equipment. This role involves analytical problem-solving, leadership development, and technical support for manufacturing operations.
What you'll do#
- Maintain assembly processes to ensure effective engine manufacturing.
- Analyze data to determine root causes for issues affecting assembly, quality, or throughput.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to reduce costs and energy usage.
- Provide technical support for production operations.
- Propose and evaluate processes for equipment in production areas.
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and other team members on continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and support safety protocols to prioritize a safe work environment.
What you'll need#
- Pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Electrical, Controls, Industrial, Materials, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Graduation date between August 2027 and June 2029.
- Ability to work full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Willingness to work in a plant environment that is not climate controlled.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods, lift up to 40 lbs, and perform physical tasks like bending and reaching.
