About the role#
George Koch Sons is hiring for a Controls or Electrical Engineer Intern for the summer of 2027. You will work alongside experienced engineering professionals who provide mentorship and guidance throughout your time here. This role involves tackling engineering tasks while gaining exposure to the full project lifecycle.
What you'll do#
- Participate in design, installation, and project engineering tasks.
- Complete challenging engineering work under the guidance of mentors.
- Learn from an experienced team of professionals.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a BS or MS degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Knowledge of PLC and HMI programming, preferably with Allen Bradley systems.
- Familiarity with network protocols such as Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, or ProfiNet.
- Ability to read electrical schematics.
- Ability to travel to job sites for extended periods.

- This role is based on-site in Evansville, Indiana.
- The internship is a full-time, paid position.
- This position is for the Summer 2027 term.
