About the role#
As a Mechanical Engineer Intern, you will gain hands-on experience by rotating through multiple functional areas at George Koch Sons. This program provides exposure to engineering, sales, field services, research and development, and manufacturing. You will work alongside experienced professionals to develop your technical skills and gain a broad understanding of the business.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the design, analysis, and testing of mechanical systems and components.
- Participate in cost estimations and customer proposals for new projects.
- Support project implementation, on-site installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Contribute to product development initiatives and innovation projects.
- Assist in process improvements, workflow optimization, and quality control initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve technical challenges.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic engineering software tools.
