About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Mechanical Engineering internship based in Bloomington, Minnesota. The program runs from May 17, 2027, through August 6, 2027. You must be available for the entire duration of the program. This position is on-site and does not offer visa sponsorship.
What you'll do#
- Troubleshoot product issues to help reduce warranty claims.
- Identify root causes of technical problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on various projects.
- Work with the test department to conduct lab and field testing.
- Analyze data and document your findings.
- Create documentation for the company lessons learned library.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Mechanical Engineering BS program at an ABET accredited institution.
- Completion of at least your sophomore or junior year of coursework.
- A minimum GPA of 3.2.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling and 2D drafting tools, such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Creo.
- Fluent in Microsoft tools including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- A basic understanding of statics, dynamics, GD&T, and Design for Manufacturing.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- A desire to be hands-on, along with curiosity and an eagerness to learn.
- Engagement in technical personal projects or engineering clubs.
- A willingness to take feedback constructively.
