    About the role#

    As a Risk Advisory Intern, you will work on client engagements as part of a project delivery team. You will execute high-quality projects and services while working under the supervision of experienced team members. You are responsible for managing your workload to meet project budgets and timelines.

    What you'll do#

    • Assess business and information technology processes and system internal controls.
    • Execute enterprise, operational, information technology, and third-party risk management and compliance programs.
    • Execute internal audit plans, including information technology internal audits.
    • Document and assess client operations, systems, and controls to identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Assist with conducting risk assessments to inform enterprise and operational risk projects.
    • Assess transactions and controls to support Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and other regulatory compliance.
    • Obtain and analyze data, identify trends, and visualize results using analytics solutions.
    • Leverage automation, artificial intelligence, and other technology aids to deliver client services.
    • Establish working relationships with team members and clients.
    • Collaborate to understand project approaches, manage risks, and execute assigned responsibilities.
    • Research and contribute to business development proposals.
    • Participate in firm activities, including recruiting, training, and office events.

    What you'll need#

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, MIS, or a related field.
    • Overall GPA of 3.0/4.0.
    • Authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship.
    • Desire to pursue professional certifications such as CPA, PMP, CISA, CIA, CISSP, CAMS, or CISM.
    • Ability to travel at least 25% as required.
    • Ability to work additional hours when necessary.
    • Strong technical aptitude, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Effective project and time management abilities.
    • Enthusiasm for learning through structured, on-the-job, and self-directed training.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Boston, Massachusetts.
    • Term: Summer 2027.
    • Work Modality: Hybrid (requires in-person attendance at least three days per week at a firm office or client site).
    • Compensation: $40 per hour.
    • Benefits: Interns are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance programs, the employee assistance program, a minimum of 72 hours of paid sick leave, and pay for firm holidays that fall within the internship period.
