About the role#
GrizzlyTrek Group Ltd. is offering a paid internship program for Indigenous applicants across Alberta interested in careers as Class 1 or Class 3 operators. This program provides on-the-job training and mentorship, with the goal of transitioning interns into permanent roles within the energy sector. Placements begin in Summer 2026.
What you'll do#
- Operate hydrovac equipment for safe excavation using high-pressure water and vacuum trucks.
- Handle bulk hauling and transport of fluids, water, sand, and equipment to and from sites.
- Operate vacuum and water trucks on and around active work sites.
- Run and support equipment on active well sites.
- Assist with well servicing and maintenance tasks.
What you'll need#
- You are an Indigenous applicant based in Alberta.
- You are interested in a long-term career operating equipment in the energy sector.
- A Class 1 or Class 3 licence is an asset, but not required to begin the program.
- You are ready to learn and grow through on-the-job training.

- Location: Red Deer, Alberta, with work occurring at energy sector sites across the province.
- Modality: On-site.
- Term: Summer 2026.
- Status: Full-time and paid from the first day.
