About the role#
Group One Trading is seeking software developer interns to gain hands-on experience with electronic trading systems. You will work within a team that develops proprietary software for market making and liquidity providing strategies. This role offers exposure to the business of equity options trading while you work alongside senior developers.
What you'll do#
- Complete an initial orientation to understand the business, infrastructure, and development environment.
- Learn the roles and skillsets of your teammates to help guide your work.
- Contribute directly to projects that have real implications for our traders and the company.
What you'll need#
- You must be an active student during the following Fall semester.
- Working toward a BS, MS, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Familiarity with a C-style object-oriented language such as C#, Java, C++, or Objective-C.
- Solid understanding of Computer Science and software development fundamentals.
- A desire to learn and grow as a developer.
- The ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with colleagues.

- This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in Chicago, Illinois.
- The internship term is rolling.
