About the role#
The Fidelity Center for Applied Technology (FCAT) drives innovation to advance market leadership. This co-op position focuses on assessing, testing, and scaling concepts involving artificial intelligence, blockchain, quantum computing, and other emerging technologies. You will work within a design-focused environment that combines strategy and research to envision future financial experiences.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the FCAT design team to envision and create future experiences.
- Support the team from research and ideation through to sketching and rapid prototyping.
- Create multimodal outputs and develop full story arcs for projects.
- Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and standard team methodologies.
- Work with technical partners to resolve incidents and build partnerships across development teams.
- Perform root cause analysis on incidents.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical degree program.
- Interest in emerging technologies such as VR, Generative AI, and Agentic AI.
- Proficiency in programming languages like JavaScript, Python, or C#.
- Familiarity with game engines like Unity or Unreal, WebXR, and API integration (JSON, XML, REST, SOAP).
- Experience with macOS and Windows operating systems.
- Ability to think critically about design challenges and communicate ideas effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Experience in production support or analysis is a plus.
- Familiarity with design software like Figma or Adobe Creative Suite is preferred.
- Participation in technical extracurricular clubs or one previous co-op experience is a plus.
