About the role#
As a Co-op Data Scientist, you will work with senior leaders to build and deploy data-driven solutions. You will support business functions by translating challenges into analytical projects. This role provides exposure to analytics, generative AI, and agentic AI systems.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models for business applications.
- Integrate AI and ML models into production systems with guidance from the team.
- Perform exploratory data analysis to find patterns and trends in data.
- Build algorithms and provide feedback on design and performance.
- Validate, test, and monitor models to ensure they remain reliable.
- Work on generative AI tasks such as prompt engineering, model fine-tuning, and evaluation.
- Research agentic AI and autonomous multi-step reasoning systems.
- Create technical documentation and present your findings to internal stakeholders.
- Follow data governance and compliance standards.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing or have recently finished a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with libraries like scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
- Familiarity with data manipulation tools such as Pandas and NumPy.
- Understanding of machine learning algorithms like regression, decision trees, neural networks, and clustering.
- Knowledge of NLP techniques and generative AI methods like transformers and large language models.
- Experience with agentic AI workflows and autonomous task execution.
- Ability to clean, preprocess, and visualize data.
- Exposure to cloud-based machine learning platforms like AWS SageMaker, Google Cloud AI, or Azure ML is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
