About the role#
This is a 6-month co-op opportunity within the AI Center of Excellence. You will work with diverse data sources, including transactional history, customer attributes, and digital activity, to uncover patterns that inform strategic business decisions. You will join a team focused on using AI to improve customer financial wellbeing by building systems for personalized engagement and financial optimization.
What you'll do#
- Build, refine, and evaluate machine learning models for recommendations and financial insights.
- Support the development of agentic AI systems that identify customer financial opportunities.
- Run experiments, conduct model diagnostics, and analyze system performance.
- Collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, and financial planning specialists.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, FinTech, or a related field.
- Strong Python skills, specifically with pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn.
- A solid understanding of core machine learning concepts.
- Curiosity about financial planning and wealth management.
- Experience with classical AI/ML and LLM prompt engineering.
- Exposure to agentic AI or reasoning frameworks.
- Experience working with SQL and large datasets.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid position.
- The role is based on-site in either Boston, Massachusetts, or Westlake, Texas.
- This position does not offer sponsorship.
- The internship term is rolling.
