About the role#
Halff is hiring a Civil Engineer Intern for our Water Resources team in Fort Worth. This is a full-time, paid summer internship running from June 7, 2027, through August 13, 2027. You will work 40 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday from 8a to 5p.
What you'll do#
- Design civil engineering projects under the supervision of a Professional Engineer.
- Assist with drainage and stormwater analysis and design.
- Prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates for Water Resources projects.
- Perform CAD drafting work.
- Complete calculations and analysis for design projects.
- Help prepare permit applications and regulatory documents.
- Coordinate with team members, including surveyors, architects, and contractors.
- Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Civil Engineering or an ABET accredited equivalent.
- Strong organization and self-motivation skills.
- Effective communication and team building abilities.
- Experience with HEC-RAS and HEC-HMS is preferred but not required.
