About the role#
This Fellowship provides paid supervision hours through a structured clinical program. You will work one-on-one with clients to provide ABA interventions, teach communication skills, and practice daily living activities. The role allows you to complete unrestricted activities as defined by the BACB to help meet the requirements to sit for the BCBA exam.
What you'll do#
- Build trusting relationships with clients through social interaction.
- Encourage communication, social skills, and problem-solving.
- Reduce prompts over time to promote independent responses.
- Increase the occurrence and duration of desirable behaviors.
- Collect accurate, unbiased behavior data.
- Communicate with RBTs, BCBAs, families, and Clinical Directors.
- Train staff and caregivers on behavior-analytic programs.
- Conduct behavior-analytic assessments.
- Research literature relevant to client programming.
- Write and revise behavior-analytic programs.
- Maintain the BACB Ethical Compliance Code.
- Work with a BCBA mentor on guided practice of the BCBA role.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in or graduation from a BACB approved Master’s or Certification Program.
- Your academic program must have a BACB reported exam pass rate of 60% or higher for 3 consecutive years or hold ABAI/APBA accreditation.
- Ability to pass the RBT exam within 30 days of employment.
- Must be an active RBT for 60 days with Helping Hands Family.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
