    About the role#

    We are looking for a Systems Engineering Intern to join our team for the Summer 2027 term. You will work alongside experienced engineers on active development programs. This role provides hands-on experience in medical device development, focusing on system integration, testing, and performance improvement.

    What you'll do#

    • Support system integration, verification, and validation for medical device products.
    • Collaborate with engineers and technicians to prototype concepts and execute tests.
    • Analyze data, troubleshoot technical issues, and contribute to performance improvements.
    • Build test setups and explore new validation methods.
    • Work with firmware and product designers to drive system level performance.
    • Write basic test execution scripts.
    • Document test results and write reports.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a bachelor degree in Biomedical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a similar field.
    • Completion of at least your freshman year.
    • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and material selection for electro-mechanical systems.
    • Proficiency in rapid prototyping methods.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to communicate and work effectively within a team.
    • Familiarity with risk management frameworks like FMEA, Fault Tree Analysis, or hazards risk analysis is a plus.
    • Commitment to a minimum of 10 weeks for the internship.
    • Authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
