About the role#
As a V&V Automation and Test Tools Engineering Co-op, you will work on system and software verification for Anesthesia and Respiratory Care (ARC) products. You will join a team focused on developing tools to verify Life Support devices, including Infant Care and Anesthesia systems. You will be paired with a manager and a mentor to support your project-oriented assignments.
What you'll do#
- Develop and maintain test tools and automation frameworks to stress-test Life Support devices.
- Code and execute Verification and Validation procedures.
- Use structured and creative test approaches to assess the design quality of anesthesia and respiratory care systems.
- Interact with development engineers to analyze the functionality, performance, and usability of system features.
- Work hands-on with assembled prototype systems to identify design defects.
What you'll need#
- Full-time student status pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Biomedical Engineering (with an emphasis in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering).
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python, or C#.
- Ability to work for a minimum of 30 weeks.
- Prior intern, co-op, or research experience in computer sciences, engineering, or design.
- Strong initiative, analytical problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or in teams.
- Excellent communication skills to explain technical problems clearly.
- Willingness to relocate.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States. We do not provide visa sponsorship.
