About the role#
As an LSS V&V Engineering Co-op, you will join our team to work on system and software verification for Anesthesia and Respiratory Care products. You will receive support from a manager and a mentor throughout your project-based assignments. This role requires a commitment of at least 30 weeks.
What you'll do#
- Use structured and creative testing to stress the design quality of anesthesia systems.
- Identify defects in product designs before they reach manufacturing.
- Collaborate with development engineers to test the functionality, performance, and usability of system features.
- Work hands-on with assembled prototype systems.
- Apply your engineering skills to solve problems and find design flaws.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student in Computer Science, Biomedical, Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
- Prior experience in design engineering, manufacturing, or research through internships or co-ops.
- Strong initiative, leadership skills, and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Excellent communication skills and a demonstrated analytical approach to problem-solving.
- Adaptability to difficult situations.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
