    About the role#

    As a Maintenance Engineer Intern, you will gain hands-on experience by performing duties similar to our full-time engineering staff. You will work in a manufacturing facility to supervise maintenance personnel and direct the modification, improvement, and installation of equipment. The goal is to maximize facility productivity while maintaining cost efficiency.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist with reliability improvements using Enterprise Asset Management software.
    • Update engineering information regarding plant water, industrial sewer systems, and compressed air distribution.
    • Make recommendations for system design, including water-saving and energy conservation projects.
    • Supervise plant maintenance employees on a relief basis.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in a Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related engineering degree program.
    • Expected graduation date between December 2026 and May 2028.
    • A cumulative GPA of 2.7 or higher is preferred.
    • Must be at least 18 years of age.
    • Ability to relocate for the duration of the internship.
    • Access to a personal motor vehicle to commute to the workplace.
    • Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.

    Location & details#

    • This is a full-time, on-site role for Summer 2027.
    • Positions are available in Austin, MN; Dubuque, IA; Wichita, KS; Rochelle, IL; Omaha, NE; Faribault, MN; Pelican Rapid, MN; Willmar, MN; Beloit, WI; and Nevada, IA.
