About the role#
This internship supports the B-2 Stealth Bomber platform at Whiteman Air Force Base. You will join a multi-disciplined team to maintain existing systems and install capability upgrades. You will work in a production environment alongside engineers, aircraft technicians, and U.S. Air Force personnel.
What you'll do#
- Interpret and create aircraft engineering drawings.
- Transition, update, and create digital models.
- Learn aircraft certification requirements.
- Train to perform hands-on work on the aircraft.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, industrial, and manufacturing engineers.
- Coordinate with aircraft technicians, pilots, maintainers, and logisticians.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student.
- Graduation date after August 2027.
- Major in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Industrial, Systems, or a related STEM field.
- Ability to work full-time for at least 10 weeks during Summer 2027.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher is preferred.
- Previous internship or co-op experience is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are preferred.
