    About the role#

    Northrop Grumman is hiring a Systems Engineer Intern to join the Strategic Deterrent Systems Division and the Sentinel program. This internship offers experience in technical planning and system lifecycle analysis within the defense and space manufacturing industry.

    What you'll do#

    • Perform technical planning, system integration, and validation.
    • Conduct cost, risk, and effectiveness analyses across all stages of the system product, from concept and design to maintenance and disposal.
    • Convert customer and product requirements into total system solutions while managing technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
    • Execute functional and timeline analyses, trade studies, and interface definition studies.
    • Translate customer requirements into specific hardware and software specifications.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited university, with plans to be enrolled full-time in Fall 2027.
    • A major in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
    • A cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher.
    • U.S. citizenship, as the role requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance.
    • Availability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during Summer 2027.
