About the role#
This is a 10-week summer internship program based in Greenville, Mississippi. You will work on real business projects and gain experience in food manufacturing. You will have access to professional training, mentorship, and opportunities to network with peers and senior leaders.
What you'll do#
- Collect and analyze performance data for lines and machines.
- Plan material and work flows to improve efficiency.
- Lead projects to reduce waste and increase plant output.
- Set performance standards and KPIs for production lines.
- Develop equipment layouts and operational designs.
- Conduct time and motion studies to find ways to improve worker efficiency.
- Report on KPIs at the facility and enterprise levels.
What you'll need#
- You are a 3rd year student in an Industrial or Mechanical Engineering program.
- You must be able to intern the summer before your final graduation date.
- You have legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- You can pass a drug and background screening.
- You have your own transportation to the work site.
- You are familiar with tools like Six Sigma, Kaizen, and 5S.
- You have proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
