    About the role#

    The House of Commons hires students throughout the year for various positions across different service areas. This program offers hands-on experience within a political institution, allowing you to apply your classroom knowledge to real-world projects.

    What you'll do#

    You will contribute to projects and participate in activities across a wide range of departments. Your specific tasks depend on your field of study and placement, but generally include:

    • Providing administrative support and client service.
    • Assisting with accounting, commerce, procurement, contracting, and policy work.
    • Supporting teams in communications, linguistics, graphic design, and web design.
    • Engaging in work related to trades, culinary arts, and other operational fields.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrolment as a full-time student at an accredited post-secondary institution.
    • Fluency in both English and French.
    • Minimum age of 16.
    • Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid study permit.
    • You must provide proof of enrolment during the hiring process.
