About the role#
As a Software Engineering Intern at HPR, you will work on high-performance computing and electronic trading infrastructure. You will work on real projects alongside our team, making contributions to our systems daily.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, and debug C applications on multi-core Linux systems.
- Process large amounts of high-throughput, low-latency network data.
- Collaborate with team members in a technical environment.
- Expand your knowledge of coding languages.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a BS or MS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with at least sophomore standing.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
- Ability to read and write C code.
- Successful completion of coursework in areas such as Data Structures and Algorithms, Operating Systems, Machine Structure and Assembly-Language, Performance Engineering, or Networks and Protocols.
- Previous programming experience in an academic or internship setting.
- Familiarity with Linux Bash or Shell environments, plus Python or Java.

- Compensation: $42.00 per hour.
