    About the role#

    The Hudson Institute seeks a legal intern for the Forum for Intellectual Property during the Fall 2026 term. This role focuses on intellectual property, antitrust, and Internet law. You will work directly with experts to discuss critical policy issues. Interns working onsite may assist with and attend public events and internal sessions with scholars.

    What you'll do#

    • Conduct research for reports and articles.
    • Draft the monthly IP Forum newsletters.
    • Prepare briefing memos to keep the team updated on current events.
    • Help experts with research projects, presentations, and writing.
    • Handle administrative tasks and event support.

    What you'll need#

    • You are a recent graduate or a current law student with an interest in intellectual property law and innovation policy.
    • Experience in IP law is preferred.
    • You have strong research, writing, editing, and analysis skills.
    • You can work independently and manage your time well.
    • You are detail-focused, reliable, and professional.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
    • Academic backgrounds in Political Science, Business Administration, Communications, History, or Philosophy are relevant.

    • This is a hybrid position based in Washington, DC.
    • The term is Fall 2026.
    • This is a full-time, unpaid volunteer research position.
