About the role#
This is a rolling internship where you will assist the Purchasing team with daily operations, documentation, and vendor coordination. You will gain hands-on experience in procurement processes while supporting various team projects in the oil and gas industry.
What you'll do#
- Request and review certificates of insurance and general contractor licenses to ensure they meet company standards.
- Verify documentation in SharePoint and apply the necessary metadata.
- Monitor and respond to communications regarding insurance and licensing.
- File purchase orders, contracts, and other procurement documents while maintaining accurate digital and physical records.
- Follow up with vendors to confirm and expedite material deliveries.
- Track turnaround orders to ensure goods arrive on schedule.
- Organize existing purchasing records and support the team with assigned procurement projects.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a full-time student with at least sophomore standing at an accredited four-year university.
- A major in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management.
- Proficiency with MS Office, Excel, ShareFile, and SharePoint.
- A valid driver license.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
