About the role#
The PC Deployment Intern joins the IT project team to support the annual PC deployment initiative. You will deploy and configure end-user equipment, including PCs, Macs, laptops, docking stations, monitors, and printers. This role focuses on ensuring software is installed correctly and delivering quality customer service to minimize support issues. You will also assist with service desk incidents and gather end-user feedback to help improve the technology experience.
What you'll do#
- Deploy, configure, and set up end-user hardware and peripherals.
- Ensure software is installed and configured to meet performance standards.
- Assist the service desk with incoming incidents.
- Help meet established service expectations.
- Collect and assess feedback from end users regarding the deployment process.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Graduation date of August 2027 or later.
- Ability to work full-time from late May 2027 through early August 2027.
- Experience with hardware and software support, troubleshooting, and system imaging.
- Experience with hardware break-fix support and deployment projects.
- Knowledge of system administration tasks, logging data, and debugging protocols.
- Experience maintaining and troubleshooting various systems and networks.
- Strong customer service skills.

- Location: Bloomington, Illinois.
- Modality: Hybrid.
- Term: Full-time during the summer of 2027, with potential for part-time extension through the fall of 2027 and spring of 2028.
- This is a paid internship position.
